The Vortex area is located north of St George Utah near Dammron Valley. The Bowl is an easy to moderate hike a little over 2 miles and is family friendly. We will see great views of the Pine Valley Mountain, nice plant life and amazing Navajo Sandstone. Hiking past soft brain rock and polygonal sandstone, this is a very enjoyable short hike best done in either the morning or the late afternoon. Passing the Veyo Volcano on the way to this hike adds to the general nice scenic drive.
